Welcome to Labsurface with Danny Beaulac

When Labsurface partnered with the Ready, Willing and Able (RWA) program, it was with a clear intention: to enhance inclusivity. When Danny Beaulac first walked through the doors of Labsurface, he was met with warmth — and a few questions. But it only took a few days for all doubts to vanish.

Danny quickly proved to be a valuable asset. Always smiling, helpful, independent, and incredibly hardworking, he integrated seamlessly into the team — no rigid structure needed. In fact, he found his place so naturally, it was as if it had been waiting for him all along.

His daily work goes above and beyond expectations: he spots errors with remarkable accuracy, confidently operates complex equipment that few dare to use, and brings a positive, contagious energy to his coworkers. His presence has transformed not just the operations, but the workplace culture itself.

“If you hire people who’ve all been shaped the same way, went to the same schools, or think the same… they’ll give you more or less the same ideas. But when you hire people who are different, who come from diverse backgrounds — whether cultural, gender-based or neurodiverse — you get solutions that are often incredibly interesting and that truly enrich problem-solving.” — Marc Letarte, former plant manager at Labsurface

Today, no one wonders whether Danny would adapt. The real question has become: how did we ever manage without him?

His journey is a powerful reminder of a truth we too often forget: neurodiversity is not a barrier — it’s a strength.

“Give people like me a chance — even just for one day. You might be surprised.”
— Danny Beaulac

Danny’s story powerfully reminds us that inclusion shouldn’t be a distant goal, but a daily practice. Offering a chance — no matter how small — can reveal talents that transform our workplaces.
