Strategic plan
ADOPTION OF THE 2024 – 2029 STRATEGIC PLAN OF THE QUEBEC INTELLECTUAL DISABILITY SOCIETY (SQDI)
The SQDI took a participatory approach to its strategic planning. This process involved a consultation led by a supporting committee responsible for the process. He played a central role for one year, from April 2023 to March 2024.
This supporting committee met a dozen times. It consisted of:
- two members of the board of directors
- the general management
- a manager of a member organization
- a relative
- a person with a developmental disability
Dynamo accompanied us throughout this consultation. Dynamo helps groups collaborate, work and act together to make a difference.
5 focus groups and 2 events were organized to consult our allies on future directions. This consultation brought together:
- several member organizations
- people with intellectual disabilities and their families
- of partners
- of employees
- organizations that give us money
- members of the SQDI working team
- members of the board of directors
This consultation helped to understand the challenges of living with an intellectual disability and to identify the objectives to achieve with our strategic planning.
