The Quebec Intellectual Disability Society has four categories of members:

Benefits of being a member:

  • Through strength in numbers, the Society supports its members and gives the cause of intellectual disabilities a louder voice in the public space.
  • The Society, a provincial organization, acts as its members’ main interlocutor and representative with different levels of government about issues related to intellectual disability.
  • Offer credibility and weight in policy representations to public decision makers.
  • Support research.
  • Support members in the defense of rights.
  • Develop training.
  • Make awareness-raising tools available.
  • Share exclusive information.
  • Take action to advance the social involvement of people with an intellectual disability.
  • Offer an opportunity to sit on a variety of working committees.
  • Be surrounded by a dedicated, dynamic team serving members.
  • Give associate members the right to vote.

Membership dues

  • Associate member > $100
  • Support member > $175
  • Individual member > $25
