Class action lawsuit on non-inclusive socio-professional programs

Class action on non-inclusive socio-professional programs

The Quebec Intellectual Disability Society (QIDS) is joining forces with people with intellectual disabilities and family members of people with intellectual disabilities to launch a class action lawsuit aimed at demanding recognition of the injustices experienced by people with intellectual disabilities or other disabilities in certain socio-professional programs—such as sheltered workshops and internships in which people remain for years without pay and without the possibility of progressing to inclusive employment.

The law firm Trudel Johnston & Lespérance (TJL) represents and cooperates with QIDS and other representatives in this class action against the Government of Quebec.
